Daniel Lince updates

A couple of months ago, I posted a few words about the “Daniel Lince” project, which is a project I’ve been planning for almost 2 years, and now it’s finally happening!

Fabio Has worked on this project as a digital designer, creating a web interface to present the contents - text, image, music - in perfect harmony.

Kaori Nagata is the talented illustrator who is working with me since the beginning of this project, creating the beautiful art for the chapters of this tale.

Besides writing the story, I’m also composing original music for “Daniel Lince” so don’t forget to put on your headphones when visiting the website: http://daniellince.com

Read the official release page with synopsis and some other useful information. If you speak portuguese, check out this version of the same document.

To those of you who support “Daniel Lince” by tweeting and blogging about it, I say thank you very much!

I leave you now with the poster art by Kaori Nagata. Cheers!

2MW podcasts

It’s been 3 months since we started producing the 2 Many Weirdos podcasts at sonica, and I’m extremely happy we started this partnership. We are responsible for the recording, editing and mixing of every episode, and we always have a blast working with them.

You can subscribe to the 2MW podcasts by following this link. Note: All episodes are recorded in portuguese, but they are music podcasts, so even if you are not familiar with the language, you can always listen to the songs.

2MW is a brazilian blog, written in english and portuguese, by Natali Tami and João Simões. They talk about music, mostly independent work from different genres, and it’s a great source for anyone interested on the subject.

Daniel Lince

Daniel Lince
“A man whose life revolves around a lab and its experiments”

Daniel Lince” is a fiction tale, written by me, and it’s being released next month on the web, with illustrations by Kaori Nagata, original soundtrack by me, and interface by Fabio Has.

Beginning next week, people will be able to gather some clues, given by the twitter account @daniellince, and solve some puzzles, in exchange for a prize (note: you must follow the user @daniellince in order to win).

Good luck to all and I hope you enjoy the life of Daniel Lince.

Creating and performing the soundtrack with Aécio for a short film, which has not yet been released.

The goal was to perform the original music while the actors were shooting, and afterwards, record the same tracks in studio, matching the final editing of the film.

This was a great experience and example on how music can play a big part in the creative process of a film.
